Shivamogga: A unique attempt to attract people towards the life journey of the “Father of the Nation” Mahatma Gandhi, on account of 150th birth anniversary, the Department of Information and Public Relations has organized a three-day exhibition of Bapu’s rare photographs and information on the same.
The exhibition has been arranged at the KSRTC bus stand, where commuters from various places can have a look at Bapu’s life journey.
On around 23 boards installed, images and information about the Mahatma, right from his birth till the freedom struggle, has been put on display.
These boards comprise around 87 black and white photographs depicting the different stages in Bapu’s life and also have a suggestion book for viewers to write suggestions along with their signature.
Two idols of Gandhiji have been placed at the exhibition and have turned into a selfie spot for the tourists. This has also caused the number of visitors to increase.
Meanwhile, former minister Kimmane Rathnakar visited the exhibition and positively responded to the initiative.
