Shivamogga: Kabaddi is one of the traditional sports played in most of our villages. On Monday, April 8 evening, JDS-Congress alliance candidate from the Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency, Madhu Bangarappa played Kabaddi in Shikaripura, the home turf of former CM B S Yeddyurappa and his son, incumbent MP B Y Raghavendra.
Bangarappa arrived in Shikaripura at around 6 PM to carry out a campaign. At that time, a group of youth were playing Kabaddi in the premises of a local Eshwarara temple. Seeing this, Bangarappa joined them and later, left the village after taking a group photo.
This news has gone now viral on social media. Many of his supporters hailed the simplicity of their leader while others termed it as a gimmick to woo the votes.
