Shivamogga: Deputy Commissioner K A Dayanand has taken a major step by connecting 5000 government officials and other staff simultaneaously through a conference call. The same was inaugurated here, by him, in DC office here on Tuesday, January 1.
He said, “This is made available through a mobile phone, through which we can connect with officers ranging from the district level to town and village levels as well. For this, a group has already been created on phone, which will assist us in the speedy process of administration.”
“This will help us record progress in farmers’ loan waiver, agriculture and many other schemes and programmes”, he added.
The E-Office which was defunct from a long time was reopened.
Dayanand has said that in the coming days almost all the government offices would be brought under E-Office to speed up the processing of documents and help in fair administration.
Meanwhile, he also said that the registration process for farmers’ loan waiver scheme would be extended till January 10, in order to arrange and provide necessary documents.
Sahyadri Utsav from January 23 to 27
“A celebration called 'Sahyadri Utsav' which was not in action from the past 10 years, will once again be started in the available ground with a variety of cultural programmes", DC K A Dayanand said.
“The main programme will be organised in the Old Jail ground, during which nationally and internationally acclaimed artistes will be performing music, art and dance, along with the local performers. Adventure and folk sports, marathon and many more sporting events will be conducted. Women-related issues, employment and many more topics will be discussed in the workshops. Altogether this programme aims at uplifting the cultures and traditions of the district and also helping the local talents flourish”, he added.
