Yash will finally start shooting for his magnum opus KGF Chapter 2 from June 6 in Mysuru. The actor will be back in Rocky Bhai avatar. The film which went on floors in May is expected to be out in 2020. KGF Chapter 1 was a blockbuster upon release, breaking all records in Sandalwood. It also performed well in other gauges as well, minting nearly Rs 250 crores at the worldwide box office.
Yash has been away from shooting for nearly one year now. He had been aggressively promoting KGF in different cities. After the film met with Blockbuster status, he was expected to start shooting for My Name is Kirataka. However, the film was put on backburner as there was immense pressure from distributors across India to finsih KGF 2 first.
Meanwhile, Raveena Tandon has been confirmed to play Ramika Sen in the film. Prashanth Neel’s directorial has Ravi Basrur scoring the music, Bhuvan Gowda as cinematographer and Shivakumar handling the art department. There is also news doing the rounds that Sanjay Dutt will be cast in the film. However, it has not been confirmed yet.
