Upendra starrer “Uppi Rupee” goes on floors from Monday, March 13 in Mysuru. The film, which has been directed by K Madesh has Rachita Ram playing the female lead. The actor will reportedly be seen in a character role, which has negative shades. K Madhesh, who is known for remake films is out with an original film after a long time.The film is based on the recent demonetisation move of Narendra Modi. The script of the film has been written keeping some real incidents in mind. Rachita Ram is playing the role of bank employee in the film. “Uppi Rupee” also has Jagapathi Babu, Ravi Shankar, Rangayana Raghu, Shobraj, Sadhu Kokila and Sharath Lohitashwa in pivotal roles.
The film produced by Vijayalakshmi Urs will be shot in places such as West Indies, Canada and Thailand. The film has music by Sadhu Kokila and cinematography by Rajesh Katta. It is expected to be wrapped up August and is scheduled to release during Upendra’s birthday in September.
