The teen sensation – Rakshith Kulai: “Life Ishte Alla”!

19-year-old Rakshith Karanth Kulai, seems to have taken Swami Vivekananda’s message to heart, if his achievements till date, are anything to go by.

Rakshith has scripted, cast, shot, cinematographed and directed an entire short film – ‘Life Ishte Alla’ that is slated to release on November 21.

Rakshith, is concerned that his cinema is subject oriented and delivers a message to the audience. “I want to educate the youth and the upcoming generation of the country”, to put it in his words.

‘Life Ishte Alla’

‘Life Ishte Alla’  is produced under the banner of GRK Productions, Surathkal and Rakshith Karanth’s photography. The story, screenplay, direction and cinematography of the film is done by Rakshith himself, while dialogues are written by Vinayak Prabhu and Nishchitha Sharath. The film was shot in and around Surathkal and Karkala.

The film stars RJ Anurag of Red FM and Sushmita as the lead pair.  The Music has been scored by Nischal Raj and Rakshith S. The film will feature two Kannada songs – “Preethisu” and the title track – “Life Ishte Alla”.

The film narrates the story of a  sober youngster who falls in love with a girl and gets into a relationship. The love affair of the duo goes sour in time, and this  traumatizes the youngster and he gets into substance abuse. As the substance abuse progress, he even attempts suicide. The film evolves on expected lines, unitl it takes a u turn with a twist in the tale.

Passion:

Rakshith, did his schooling at Surathkal and was pursuing his Mechanical Engineering from Vivekananda College in Puttur, when he quit his studies and a promising engineering career, to pursue his passion.

Rakshith recalls, “Since I was in the 8th Standard I have been very passionate about photography and cameras. I loved capturing pictures and projecting them in different ways”.

“Luckily for me,  my parents have encouraged me to follow my dream, and I am truly grateful to them”, added an emotional Rakshith.

Looking ahead

Rakshith is a trained director from the famed Nagathihalli School of cinema of Bengaluru; he is talented and creative, but he has made sure that he learns all the requirements on the field.

Still a teen, Rakshith is focused and mature about his projects. One year in the Industry and he has already assisted in different films and has a handful of assignment lined up.

He is continuously working on different films, as his main intention is to gain experience.

The film ‘Life Ishte Alla’ movie will be telecast on V4 news channel on November 21 from  8 pm onwards. 

Rakshith is also keen on telecasting the film in schools and colleges to share the message that youth must not resort to such suicidal measures, rather adopt Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy to deal with life’s situations..
