Director Suri is known for casting fresh faces in his films and his casting choices have made some of the characters quite memorable. Now, for his ongoing film “Suri Popcorn Monkey Tiger”, he has decided to cast actor-producer Naveen as the villain.
Naveen, who is married to actress Bhavana, has stayed away from acting for a long time. He had played the lead in PC Shekhar’s “Naayaka” in 2010. He has also produced films like “Romeo” and “Chaddi Dost”.
When he was approached by Suri for the role, he agreed without any second thoughts or hesitation. He did not even read the script.
Dhananjaya will be playing the lead in the film which has already gone on floors and is scheduled to release in the first half of 2019.
Director Suri has mostly gone in for fresh a cast, including Niveditha, Sapthami, Amrutha and Amith Jolly Bastian. K P Srikanath, who produced the blockbuster “Tagaru”, is producing this film.
