sudeep chamundi 03092020Just a day after his birthday (September 2), Sandalwood star Kiccha Sudeep paid a visit to the Chamundi Hills on Thursday morning to seek the deity’s blessings.

Sudeep arrived at the temple early in the morning and soon after offering prayers at the temple, left the premises.

A day before his birthday, the actor had asked his fans not to visit his house on his birthday owing to the surge in the COVID-19 cases in the city. Generally, his fans celebrate his birthday in a grand manner every year.

Taking to his social media accounts, he had said, “Since the present situation doesn’t permit nor support, I regret to say there won’t be any celebration nor any event, where I can get to meet you all. I need to keep your health as well as my ageing parents in mind. Huge gathering means going back 10 steps and re-inviting what we all are trying to get rid of. Covid still is a huge threat and we all need to keep families in mind. Your people are my people too and it hurts equally when I hear news of people affected and suffering.” He also asked his fans to, instead, help the needy in their surroundings.

However, fans who caught wind of Sudeep’s visit to the temple, thronged the area to see him.

Sudeep is currently working on his latest “Phantom”, where he plays the role of Vikranth Rona. While the film team remains tight-lipped about the story, posters of the film that were released show that it might be a thriller.
