It looks like Madakari Nayaka is the next big thing in Sandalwood with many directors planning to make a film on the legend. Few days back, we had reported that Darshan will be part of the film, which will be produced by Rockline Venkatesh. However, as per sources, Sudeep too is planning to work on a film based on the historical character.
A film on Raja Veera Madakari Nayaka has been in the offing for a long time. The head of Valmiki foundation has been in discussions with Sudeep for the last couple of years on this. Sudeep’s wife Priya Radhakrishnan may step in as producer for the film, which will reportedly be made at a whopping Rs 100 crores budget. The film will be made in three languages. Gurudatha Ganiga and Sanchith, who worked as directors for Sudeep’s home production “Ambi Ninage Vayassaito” may again collaborate for this project.
There are also reports of Hamsalekha helming another film for Dingri Nagaraj’s son Rajavardhan, which is again based on one of the novels written by Venu. Rockline Venkatesh’s film on Gandugali Madakari Nayaka, for which Darshan was brought on board will be directed by Rajendra Singh Babu.
