Actor Sudeep has extended his support to the Valmiki community, which is protesting demanding 7.5% reservation for the community in the state.
The actor has uploaded a video message on Twitter, in which he states “Shri Prasannananda Swamiji has reached Bengaluru walking hundreds of miles for 16 days, with a good intention of securing the future of students. He is fighting for the rights of the students. Thousands of people have supported him giving more strength to fight for the cause. I hope that the government considers their demand and come up with an appropriate solution.”
“Swamiji and friends you have my support. I thank you on behalf of all those students you are fighting for,” he added.
The Valmiki community is protesting in Bengaluru stating that the central government has set aside 7.5 percent reservation for the community, but the state government had allotted only 3 percent reservation.
