Sriimurali, whose last film “Mufti” was a blockbuster and completed 100 days at the box office recently will announce his next on the auspicious day of Ugadi. Though not much is being divulged about the film, it is said that it is likely to be directed by Chethan of “Bahaddur” and “Bharjari” fame.
Chethan was expected to direct Abhsihek Gowda’s debut film. However, he had a fallout with the producers and walked out of the project. He approached Sriimurali with a new script and impressed him. Sriimurali, who was waiting for an exciting script felt that this was the perfect script for him.
Meanwhile, Sriimurali has also committed to working in a film for Yogi G Raj. The film was expected to be his next after “Mufti” but, as Sriimurali wanted certain changes in the script, the film has been postponed. KRG Studios is expected to bankroll both of Sriimurali’s films.
