“Shuddhi” bags best film at State Film Awards

Kannada film “Shuddhi”, that was released in 2017, has bagged the best film award at the State Film Awards. The film, directed by Adarsh H Eshwarappa, was inspired by the Nirbhaya gang rape incident and was a commercial and critical success. Kannada film “March 22” and Tulu film “Paddayi” won the second and third places respectively, in the best film category.

The best actor award was given to Vishruth Nayka for his performance in “Manjari”, while the best actress award went to Tara for “Hebbat Ramakka”. Santhosh Ananddram directorial “Raajakumara”, starring ‘Power Star’ Puneeth Rajkumar, bagged the best film award in the entertainment section.

Harikrishna won the best music composer award for the film “Raajakumara”, while Santhosh Rai Pataje won the best cinematographer award for “Chamak”.
