Dr Vishnuvardhan was known for his great acting talent and great films. Although he passed away almost a decade back, he has been kept alive by his fans and filmmakers of the Kannada film industry. In the past decade, we have seen many Kannada films dedicated to Vishnuvardan. Films like “Mr & Mrs Ramachari”, “Only Vishnuvardhana”, “Lodde” and “Kotigobba 2” had references to Vishnuvardhan.
Now, continuing the trend is Shreyas Manju. The son of star producer K Manju will be seen as a fan of Vishnuvardhan in his debut film “Paddehuli”. In real life, Shreyas was a neighbour of Vishnuvardhan and was very close to him. His father, K Manju had produced many of Vishnuvardhan’s films.
In Guru Deshpande’s directorial, Shreyas plays the role of the legend’s fan. The makers have also decided to dedicate a song, the lyrics of which have been written by Karthik, to the legend and will be released on September 18, which happens to be Vishnuvardhan’s birthday. With Nishvika Naidu playing the female lead, the film will see Ravichandran and Sudharani making a comeback together after 25 years.
