Shivarajkumar starrer “Tagaru” is one of the biggest blockbusters of his career. The film directed by Suri will now be remade in Tamil as the remake rights have been sold to director Muthaiah. Taking to Twitter he said, “Komban Director Muthaiah bought the Remake Rights of our Blockbuster movie TAGARU..Jai TAGARU..Mayella Pogaru (sic).”
According to sources, the Tamil version will have popular Tamil actors Karthi and Vijay Sethupathi assaying roles played by Shivarajkumar and Dhananjay respectively. There will be huge expectations on the Tamil version after the Kannada version became a blockbuster.
“Tagaru” was produced by K P Srikanth, a hardcore fan of Shivarajkumar, He did not interfere in the creative process of the film and gave free hand to the team, which is said to be one of the main reason for the film turning out to be so good. Along with Shivarajkumar and Dhananjay, the film also had Manvitha, Bhavana and Vashisth Simha in pivotal roles. The film recently completed 25 weeks and is said to have collected a share of Rs 25 crores!
