Bengaluru: B V Radha (70), one of the household names of Kannada silver screen and TV soap operas is no more. She breathed her last on Sunday following cardiac arrest. She acted in Tulu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films and soap operas too. She is the wife of noted Kannada film producer, director and actor KSL Swamy, who was died in 2015.
As per the last wish of B V Radha, her family members have donated her body for medical research.
Radha started her career in 1964 through Kannada film Navakoti Narayana. Till now she has acted in more than 300 films. Among them 250 are Kannada movies. Presently she is acting in Amruthavarshnini, a tv soap opera aired on Suvarna Kannada channel.
Radha acted along with superstars of yesteryears including Dr. Rajkumar, M.G. Ramachandran, Sivaji Ganesan, N. T. Rama Rao, Gemini Ganesan, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Jaishankar etc.
