Veteran actor Akki Channabasappa, who has acted in numerous films apart from plays, breathed his last on May 15 in Bengaluru.
Akki Channabasappa died as a result of his bad health at the old age home in Bangaluru, run by stage actor Ashok Basthi popularly known as Junior Rajkumar.
Channabasappa was cremated on the afternoon of May 16 by the Kannada Film Supporting Artistes Association, headed by Dingri Nagaraj.
Akki Channabasappa learned the art of dance from Minuguthare Kalpana. He had then joined the Gubbi drama company in 1970.
