On the 70th birth anniversary of Late Sandalwood actor Sampath Kumar aka “Sahasasimha" aka Vishnuvardhan, his fans and celebrities observed the day by wishing and greeting him on Twitter.

In his memory, his fans even organized blood donation camps and Anna Dana (rice preparation served to people).

Other Sandalwood celebrities also joined in and fondly recalled the late actor in their tweets.

Taking to Twitter, “Power Star” Puneeth Rajkumar wrote, “Remembering Dr Vishnu sir on his birthday.”

“Golden Star” Ganesh tweeted, “Evergreen memories of Sahasimha Dr Vishnuvardhan, Dada, your memories will always be evergreen.”

“Navarasanayaka” Jaggesh wished the late actor through a short heart-felt poem on his official Twitter handle “Navarasanayaka Jaggesh.”

Kiccha Sudeep wrote, “Happy birthday Appaji. While we have immense love for you, we are also angry with you for leaving us. We are like orphans now. You left us too soon. I’m not aware of how much you needed us, but we need you. Remembering you and loving you, one of your fans Kiccha.”

“Challenging Star” Darshan also recalled Dr Vishnuvardhan tweeting, "It is the birthday of the 'Yajamana' of Kannadigas, our 'Abhinaya Bhargava' Dr Vishnuvardhan sir.” He also made a reference to a prominent Kannada song quoting a line from the lyrics that mean ‘even if the ages pass by, our love cannot be erased'.

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa also conveyed his greetings to the late actor through his official Twitter handle writing, “Today is the birthday of one of the greatest actors that the Kannada film industry has seen. Great actor Vishnuvardhan has remained permanently in our memories through his acting and his personality.”
