Rashmika Mandanna has been making a lot of headlines this year. Even though she did not have a single release in Sandalwood this year, she had three releases in Tollywood. She also faced many trolls after her break up with actor-director-producer Rakshit Shetty and there were rumours doing the rounds that she will not do Kannada films henceforth, due to her new-found popularity in the Telugu film industry.
She has, however, put all these rumours to rest by signing on for Dhruva Sarja-starrer “Pogaru”. And now, news has come out that Rashmika has reportedly charged Rs 64 lakhs for the film. If this is true, then it means that she has become one of the highest paid actresses in Sandalwood. In the past, actresses from other film industries like Nayanthara and Amy Jackson have been paid a larger amount like this. However, with respect to heroines from Sandalwood, this will be the biggest pay cheque for sure.
Meanwhile, Rashmika’s “Yajamana” with Darshan is scheduled to release early next year. In Telugu, she is starring in “Dear Comrade”. It is also reported she will be making her debut in Kollywood with Thalapathy Vijay.
