Ravichandran is back in the director’s seat with “Rajendra Ponappa” in which he also plays the role of a criminal lawyer. In the past eight years, he has only directed two films “Crazy Star” and “Apoorva”. Unfortunately, both were disasters at the box office.
Ravichandran, who has given many blockbuster films as a director in the 90’s is hopeful that “Rajendra Ponappa” will bring him back to the game.
“Rajendra Ponappa” will be releasing on November 1 on the occasion of Karnataka Rajyotsava. Radhika Kumarswamy, who has acted with Ravi Chandran in “Odahuttidavalu” and “Hatawaadi”, will be playing the female lead in this film.
The shoot for the film is going on in Chikkamagaluru. Ravichandran is also producing the film. Meanwhile on the acting front, Ravichandran has “Kurukshetra” set for release soon. The film has Ravichandran playing the role of Krishna.
