Raai Lakshmi, who is from Karnataka, is known for her glamour in the film industry. However, she is now ready for some action. In her upcoming Kannada film, “Jhansi”, she will be seen in the role of an investigative police officer and will be performing stunts in the film.
Known for her sex appeal, she was surprised when she was offered a role in an action-oriented film by director PVS Guruprasad. She was impressed with the script and agreed to be part of the film which is currently being shot in Bengaluru.
The film does not have anything to do with the iconic freedom fighter, Rani of Jhansi. However, the character played by Lakshmi is courageous like the Rani of Jhansi, hence the title. Her last film in Kannada was “Atthasa”, which was released five years ago.
