Dayal Padmanabhan has been directing experimental films as well as commercial films for many years. Even though his commercial films may not have met the desired fate, his experimental films have always ended up gaining critical acclaim as well as good box office collections and now, it looks like “Puta 109” will fall in the same category.
The film, which is a murder investigation-thriller, has been shot beautifully and there is not a minute where you get bored. Another impressive factor of the film is Naveen Krishna. He not only acts excellently as a novelist but has also written great dialogues for the film. Without Naveen’s dialogues, the film would not have been the same.
Although “Puta 109” has opened to great critical response, it is sad to see films like these not getting the desired screens. However, the film’s screens will increase during weekdays.
Dayal has made the film on a controlled budget, making the recovery of the money not that much of an issue at all. However, films like these deserve a bigger screen space as they have the capability to earn more.
The film stars Naveen Krishna, Jayaram Karthik, Vaishnavi and Anupama Gowda in pivotal roles.
