Bengaluru: The CCB police have detained four people on charges of ploting to murder a popular Kannada actor.
The accused identified as Nitesh and Nithyananda from Seshadripuram, Madhu from Vijayanagara and Prithvi from PG Halli, were arrested on March 7, by a team of CCB police officials, led by ACP Balaraj, near BDA Office in Seshadripuram. All the four arrested were in possession of lethal weapons like swords and daggers. Five of the accused were in the spot before the arrest took place, but one among them managed to escape. The arrested men are all gang members of Slum Bharath.
According to sources from the police, Slum Bharath had got a contract to kill the actor, and his gang members were ploting to execute the same. Bharath himself has confessed about this.
The accused who are being interrogated by CCB ACP Balaraj, have confessed that Slum Bharath had ordered to kill the actor.
Reportedly, the actor whom the gang was ploting to kill is Rocking Star Yash. However, the police have not officially disclosed this information.
