The title of the upcoming Kannada film, made by a team of passionate film lovers, has now been revealed. Made under the banner of S P Pictures, the film titled “I1” is produced by Shailaja Prakash and directed by R S Rajkumar. Shailaja Prakash, who is turning producer with this film, is a teacher by profession. She entered the cine-world with a short film on the ‘Swacha Bharath’ theme.
Speaking about how she came to agree to produce a feature film, Shailaja said, “I had already produced a short film and learnt about the different aspects of filmmaking during that time. As I am a teacher, I had always wanted to do make a good message-oriented film. R S Rajkumar came to me with an extraordinary script, which I was sure would be liked by all sections of the audience. I was impressed with the script and agreed to come on board as a producer for the film, which has been titled as ‘I1’. Kannadigas are known to support new talents and good content films. I am sure that they will love this film as well.”
Director R S Rajkumar has been working in the film industry for the last 10 years. He has worked in the Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam film industries as an assistant as well as an associate director for various films. His experience in different film industries has made him capable of handling many departments. He considers K P Bhavanishankar as his godfather and mentor for teaching him about filmmaking.
Speaking about his directorial debut, Rajkumar said, “I am grateful to Shailaja madam for agreeing to produce this film. The film is unique and different. I know this is a common statement made by all directors before their film releases, but I am being honest when I say it is different. The screenplay of the film has been made in such a way that builds curiosity during the entire runtime. I will soon officially reveal all the details regarding the film.
