Records are meant to be broken and it seems that Pailwaan is following the same. A few months ago, we saw Yash starrer KGF making good pre-release business. It also did well at the box office upon release. Now Sudeep starrer Pailwaan is getting a pan India release.
The decision of the makers of Pailwaan to go ahead with just the Hindi version rather than multiple north Indian language versions of the film seems to be paying handsome dividends. The offer for the Hindi satellite and digital rights was Rs 14 crore, a record high for any film originally made in Kannada and dubbed to Hindi.
The film, which is scheduled for release in the month of August will now be released in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
Director Krishna, who also turned producer with this film is expected to reap great profits before the release itself.
