Bengaluru: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has issued a U/A certificate to the Kannada version of Pailwaan.
It is said that the Board has not suggested even a single cut or mute in the film, which will be releasing in five languages. The process of certification for other languages is underway.
“It is a big relief. The certification without any cuts or mutes reinforces our belief in the film. This is an inspirational film, something you would want your kids to watch. It is because of this content that we decided to go pan-India in as many languages as possible. As I have told before, stories in sports films follow a similar trajectory. You expect to watch the underdog rise up to the occasion against all odds. Such stories have universal appeal,” said Krishna Bangalore Mirror
