Almost twenty-five years after it was first released, a digitised version of the late Kannada idol Vishnuvardhan’s blockbuster film titled “Nishkarsha” is back in movie theatres.
BC Patil, who played a pivotal role in the film and was the movie’s producer as well, is responsible for re-releasing it.
Loosely based on the theme of the Hollywood movie “Die Hard”, “Nishkarsha” also features legendary Kannada actor Anant Nag. The film went on to win multiple Karnataka State Film Awards after it was first released. Its success was due to the film being technically advanced.
