Yash, who is currently shooting for a song for "KGF", will wrap shooting for the film by this week. He will trim his beard and start working on his next, which is a sequel to "Kirataka". The shooting for the film will start by August end and will move at a rapid pace.
The film, which will most probably be titled "My Name is Kirataka", will be set in Mandya, just like the prequel. Most of the film will be shot in the Mandya and Mysuru regions, with a few scenes being shot in Dubai. Anil, who directed "Raambo 2" recently, will be helming this project.
Now, the makers have announced that "Nandita" Swetha will be the female lead of the film. Swetha rose to stardom with her first Kannada film, "Nanda Loves Nandita", after which she came to be known as Nandita Swetha. Even though she made it big with her debut film, she has not acted in any other Kannada film due to various reasons.
Swetha was, however, seen in several Tollywood and Kollywood films. Many directors have been impressed by her acting skills. Yash and Anil felt that she would be perfect for the film and have signed her on for the project. Swetha did not have any second thoughts when she was approached and immediately signed on the dotted line.
"My Name is Kirataka" will be produced by Jayanna-Bhogendra under the Jayanna Combines banner.
