Director-turned-actor MG Srinivas, who was last seen in his directorial film “Birbal: Finding Vajramuni”, is working on a script. However, this will not be the second film of the three-part series of “Birbal” which he had previously announced.
Instead, Srinivas’s new film will be a romantic-comedy which will star the director himself. Srinivas will also begin work on “Birbal 2” after working on this new movie.
Meanwhile, he has finished work on “Ranganayaki Vol 1: Virginity”, which is scheduled to release on November 1. The film has been directed by Dayal Padmanabhan.
MG Srinivas made his directorial debut with “Topiwala” starring Upendra in the lead. The film performed poorly at the box office following which he directed “Srinivasa Kalyana”.
The “Birbal” series released earlier this year and delivered an average performance at the box office. However, the story of the film was similar to a foreign film and it led to a controversy.
