It’s a poster that sees Diganth Manchale in a tough look sporting glasses that have gold biscuits on them, while two revolvers jut out from behind his shoulder. Needless to say, the first look of Diganth in the upcoming flick Marigold left a lot of his fans both curious and happy. The first look which was released on the actor’s recent birthday shows that the actor will be seen in a whole new avatar in the film.
Sangeetha Sringeri playing the lead heroine. Directed by debutant Raghavendra M Nayak, the film is said to be a thriller. “People usually think of biscuits when we say Marigold, but this movie has nothing to do with it. But instead, it is a culmination of two words “Mari” which means sell in Kannada and gold which means just that — gold.
The story is about how Diganth finds a gold biscuit and how his life taken major turns after that. Lot of hurdles to pass and how he gets out of them” shares the director. Meanwhile, Raghavendra adds that unlike most flicks, this will not be a regular love story. “It will have romance but there’s more to offer to the audience than just that,” he points out. Produced by Raghuvardhan, the film has raised expectations and director Raghavendra is confident that the movie will satisfy the audience’s curiosity levels.
