When a star’s son makes his debut, expectations are bound to be high. We see star sons having a grand launch with much fanfare. But that was not the case with Ravichandran’s son Manoranjan, The actor has debuted in a story oriented film “Saheba”, which released last week to good response. The film, which has been directed by Bharath is a great entertainer.
This story does not rely on the usual formula of a commercial film, but is instead a refreshing take on love and friendship. It runs on the narrative even while the characters are central to it. We get a glimpse of Ravichandran in Manoranjan, in the way he converses and in his mannerisms. There is room for improvement and the young actor seems committed to it.
The film-goers say that Manoranjan is so far the best star kid who has seen a debut of late and is here to stay in the industry. If he selects good scripts, then there is no doubt, he will emerge as one of next superstars.
Meanwhile, “Saheba” is doing good at the box office. Even though the film has been criticized by few for it’s slow pace, the film is being liked by audience and may end up being profitable venture for producers Jayanna and Bhogendra.
