Bengaluru: The Audio Launch of Kiccha Sudeep’s most awaited film of the year, Pailwaan, held on August 18th at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru.
Pailwan (transl. Wrestler) the upcoming Indian Kannada language action drama film written and directed by S. Krishna is nearing its release date. The film is produced by Swapna Krishna under the banner RRR Motion Pictures. It stars Kichcha Sudeep as Krishna, Sunil Shetty as Sarkar, Aakanksha Singh, Sushant Singh, Kabir Duhan Singh, Avinash, and Sharath Lohitashwa. Pehlwaan marks Sunil Shetty’s debut in Kannada cinema. The film’s score and the soundtrack have been composed by Arjun Janya. Sudeep plays the dual role of both a wrestler and a boxer in the film. Initially, the team planned to release it in 9 languages. But now it is being released in 5 languages. The film’s cinematographer is Karunakara A. It is edited by Ruben.
Release date
The film is releasing in Kannada and dubbed versions in Hindi (titled Pehlwaan), Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages. The first teaser was released on 15 January 2019. It was to release on Varamahalakshmi festival on 9 August, but is delayed and is scheduled to release on 12 September. The film is distributed by KRG Studios (Kannada), Zee Studios(Hindi), and by Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram (Telugu).
