The Yash-starrer magnum opus KGF, which was released on December 21, has broken each and every record in Sandalwood.
The film had the highest number of fan shows with theatres in Bengaluru starting screening as early as 4 AM, whereas in Mysuru, the shows started at 1 AM. The film also saw the highest number of tickets sold during the advance bookings.
On Bookmyshow.com, the film got more votes than Shah Rukh Khan-starrer “Zero”!! The film has got houseful boards all over Karnataka. This is expected to be the situation for the next five days.
When it comes to other languages, the film is performing extremely well in Telugu. Audience in Andhra Pradesh and Telengana have given their thumbs-up for the film. It is expected to pick up in the coming days.
In Tamil Nadu, the film opened on very few screens due to big Tamil releases. However, word of mouth about the film has resulted in an increase in screens. In Malayalam, the film has not performed as expected. Meanwhile, the Hindi version got good word of mouth. The film has reportedly collected Rs 2 crores net in Hindi, which is very good for dubbed films. It is expected to pick up over the weekend.
