Bengaluru: D R Jayaraj has been unanimously elected as the president of Karnataka Film Chamber Of Commerce (KFCC), here on Sunday, June 23.
However, the presidential election for the year 2019-20 of the KFCC will be held on June 29.
Venkataramana was unanimously elected as the vice president, A Ganesh as honorary secretary among the distributors’ section and Narasimhalu as secretary from the theatre owners section.
The reason for Jayaraj being elected as the president unanimously is producers Rockline Venkatesh, Narasimhalu and actor Sundar Raju had withdrawn their nominations filed for the presidential election.
This time, the KFCC had decided to reserve the president post to theatre owners.
As KFCC will also be going for vice president election for producers, that will also be held on June 29. Umesh Banakar, Dinesh Gandhi and Pramila Joshi are in the race for it.
