Fans were expecting a ‘Hattrick 2018’ for Shivrajkumar as he has already released two films this year- “Tagaru” and “The Villain”, which were big hits. They were also expecting “Kavacha” to join the list this year, however, the film’s release has been postponed to next year.
The film was initially scheduled to be released on December 7, but with Ganesh-starrer “Orange” and Dhananjay-starrer “Bhairava Geetha” also releasing on the same day, the makers decided to postpone the film. They also reportedly wanted time to promote the film. Initially, they thought of releasing the film on December 28, but changed their minds and decided to release it in the new year 2019.
“Kavacha” is expected to be the first release of 2019. The film is a crime thriller, written and directed by G V R Vasu, and is a remake of the 2016 Malayalam film “Oppam”. The film stars Shivrajkumar, Kruthika Jayakumar, Isha Koppikar, Baby Meenakshi and Vasishta N Simha in the lead.
