Bengaluru: Kruthika Jayakumar who stars in ‘Kavacha’ opposite Shiva Rajkumar is known for carefully choosing her roles. The 21-year-old actress will be playing the role of a 35-year-old in ‘Kavacha.’ She feels that she will leave a mark with the audience with this role.
“The film is a remake of a Malayalam film and the character I am playing, is of a woman who is much elder than me. I accepted the role as soon as the story was narrated to me, without a second thought. Playing the character is a challenging task as the role is very mature and reverential”, said Kruthika.
“A lot of changes have been made in the Kannada version of the film, so that it appeals to the local audience. The film is going to make it big and bring good reputation to me and the whole team. Moreover, working with Shiva Rajkumar is a great opportunity for any actor,” she added.
‘Kavacha’ which is being made in Kannada and Telugu, is expected to create a great gateway of opportunities for Kruthika. “To be honest, I do not accept all the opportunities that come my way. I do not wish to act in more number of films either. I am very choosy about my roles, as I want to etch my name in the psyche of the audience with the roles I play,” says Kruthika.
The actress who is currently pursuing her graduation, is concentrating on finishing her studies as well.
