“I Love You”, Upendra’s comeback film, is doing really well at the box office all over Karnataka. The Telugu version of the film, which was released on the same day in Andhra Pradesh and Telengana, has also done decently at the box office. Now, the film is all set to be remade in Tamil.
R Chandru, who directed the Kannada version of the film, will also direct the Tamil version. A popular production house in the Tamil film industry has approached Chandru to helm the project. For the Tamil version, the producers want Karthi or Vijay Sethupathi to play the role that Upendra plays in the Kannada film. However, Chandru feels that Karthi will be the better choice for the project. The film team is expected to make an official announcement regarding the casting choice soon.
Chandru, who entered the industry with “Taj Mahal”, has already directed several movies. While he worked on films for other producers, for “I Love You”, he chose to get the film produced under the Siddheshwar Enterprise Banner. This has earned him profits as the film has clicked at the box office.
