Earlier, we had revealed that Danish Sait and director Saad Khan will collaborate again for a sequel to the Kannada film ‘Humble Politician Nograj’. However, it looks like the satirical political dramedy will not be seen again on the silver screen, but on a streaming platform. Applause Entertainment, known for series like “Mind the Malhotras”, “Hostages” and “The Office” will be presenting the new show.
The 10-episode Kannada series will also have a mix of Hindi and other languages, depending on the characters’ mother tongues. The makers have decided to release the film on a digital platform, as the chances of the series reaching its target audience are much better.
Produced by Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah, Hemanth Rao and Rakshit Shetty, “Humble Politician Nograj” was released in 2018 and did very well at the box office in urban areas. It also became the first commercial Kannada film to be purchased by digital giant Amazon Prime.
