Giriraj is one of the few directors in Sandalwood, who is known for making critically acclaimed films. He is now directing a web series which has been titled as “Raktha Chandana”, a crime thriller starring Advika in a lead role.
For past one year, many web series have been released on various online platforms. “Loose Connection”, “Dr Pal” and “Joshelay” are some of the popular web series in Kannada. Giriraj wanted to do a film on this script. But, he felt that the script couldn’t be compressed to a two and half hour movie. Therefore, he decided to do a web series.
B M Giriraj has directed films like “Jatta”, “Mythri” and “Amaravathi”. Except for “Mythri”, none of his films have been able to make a mark in the box office, even though they were critically acclaimed. This may be another reason for him to venture into web series.
