Bengaluru: Geethanjali is all set to make her debut as a female lead in Gini Helida Kathe opposite Dev Rangabhumi. The film, directed by Nagaraja Uppunda has an amazing story about how Geethanjali was finalised for the role of the female lead.
Geethanjali was selected for the film due to her curly hair. The story of the film demanded a heroine with curly hair. Dev, who has written story, screenplay and dialogues of the film conducted an audition to find the female lead. Out of several girls who auditioned, the makers decided to select Geethanjali as they felt she was apt for the film.
Her curly hair and looks were perfect for the girl next door character that the film demanded, say the makers. Geethanjali plays the role of a teacher in the film, who is wooed by a driver. According to Dev, Geethanjali has done a great job in the film and she was perfect for the film.
This is Geethanjali’s debut film in Sandalwood. According to sources close to the film, she is here for a bigger run as her acting skills have impressed many who have seen rushes of the film.
