Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a fire broke out on the sets of Sandalwood movie “Bhajarangi 2” on Thursday, January 16.
According to reports, the incident occurred on the film set at the Mohan B Kere Studio on the outskirts of Nelamangala, where over 400 crew and actors were present. As the 360-degree set was fully enclosed and there was only one entry and exit point, the occupants are considered to be lucky that the fire did not spread, enabling them to escape unharmed.
Producer of the film, Jayana said that a major disaster was averted as precautionary measures were already in place and the fire was put out immediately. “All the crew members and actors were evacuated from the set. No one was injured,” he said.
He, however, added that smoke engulfed the film set and that exhausts are being used to clear the fumes.
Sandalwood stars Shivarajkumar, Madhu and Loki were among the actors who were present on the set at the time of the incident.
