Popular yesteryear actress Kalpana was widely recognised as one of the greatest actresses of Kannada cinema. The actress who was known for her extraordinary acting skills enjoyed stardom in her professional life, but her personal life ended in a tragedy. She committed suicide at an inspection bungalow in Belagavi, which remains closed even today.
A group of IT professionals have decided to make a movie based on the last days of Kalpana, which is titled as ‘Kalpana Nivasa’. The makers have decided not to use any photographs of Kalpana. The film will be directed by Vishwa G Kadur.
The local people of Belagavi believe that there is a presence of Kalpana’s ghost in the inspection bungalow. The story of ‘Kalpana Nivasa’ is woven around the presence of Kalpana’s ghost. Vijay Ram, Vedha and Ashish will be playing the lead roles in the film.
