It looks like dubbed film in Kannada is the latest trend among south Indian directors. In last few weeks, we have seen dubbed films like Kirik Love Story and Jaga Malla releasing. Even though the response for these films have been extremely poor, makers still want to release films in Kannada.
Now, the new film to join the list is Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Dear Comrade. The film, which marks the directorial debut of Bharat Kamma will release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam in May.
The reason for film being dubbed in Kannada is said to be Rashmika. As she is a top heroine here, with 100 percent success rate, the makers are trying to use her popularity to get audience into theatre. But even with original version in Telugu releasing here, we will have to see if audience will watch the dubbed Kannada version.
