“Pushpaka Vimana”, the 100th film of Ramesh Aravind released earlier this year and was a commercial success. The film even had it’s television premiere few days back. However, the makers of the film are now in trouble.

Kross Pictures and Kross Television India, who own the Indian remake rights of Korean film “Miracle in Cell No 7”, have filed a case against the makers after reading media reports that claimed that the film is a remake of the Korean film.

They have filed an injunction order and a case of infringement in the Bombay High Court against Vikyath Chitra Productions, Pawan Wadeyar Film Factory and others involved in the making of this film.

However, director S Ravindranath claims that his film was not a remake, but a film that was inspired from four films. He said tat his film is inspired by films such as “Life is Beautiful”, “I am Sam”, “Miracle in Cell No 7” and “Pursuit of Happiness”. He also said that he has said so openly before the film’s release and also has given credit for directors of these films in the title card.
