Box Office collection of ‘The Villian’ slows down a bit

villianShivarajkumar, one of the most successful names in the Kannada film industry and a legend who enjoys a very solid fan is now again in the limelight because of his latest release ‘The Villian’, which also stars Sudeep.

The film, which was open to view for the public on October 18, 2018, opened with a good response in the Karnataka Box Office and stayed strong and lead the ticket window but recently its collections have seen a drop since Wednesday, October 24 where it could only bring in Rs 2.80 crores at the box office.

This could be considered a good collection as of now because most films tend to slow down in their collections during the weekdays but this does not do justice to the fact that the movie was released across 500 screens in the state and could be considered as one of the biggest films in the industry of the recent times.

The movie which was made with a budget of Rs 60 crore could be considered a high risk investment as it was reported that it was able to bring in a stable amount in week one but now with sales decreasing week two will be more crucial if it needs to recover it worth and be called a successful venture.

It also does not help with the critics reviewing the film as okayish that does not do any justice to Sudeep’s acting skills and Shivarajkumar fans feel that he was given very less screen time as compared to his counterpart. But with big names such as ‘Kichha’ and SRK, the collections might pick up in week two.
