It looks like the filmmakers have made actress-turned-politician Ramya the target of “Dhwaja”, a political satire film. Starring newcomers Ravi and Priyamani, the film is making news for allegedly taking aim at Ramya.
In the film, Priyamani’s character is named Ramya and is the villain in the film, who even tries to kill people close to her for political gain.
However, cinematographer-turned-director Ashok Cashyap has dismissed the news. He was quick to clarify that the character doesn’t have any sort of resemblance to actor and politician Ramya. “Everybody is aware that it is a remake of Kodi, and we are not making a biopic. It’s a fictional political thriller,” he explained.
Ashok has been working on this film over the last one year, and an audio release will be done before the film hits theatres. The film also stars Divya Uruduga, TN Seetharam, Tabala Nani and Veena Sundar among others. The film has music by Santhosh Narayanan and Chinna, and cinematography by Ashok Cashyap.
