Mangaluru: Anukta, film that released on February 1 all over Karnataka had to face stiff competition from Kannada as well as non-Kannada films. Not having managed to get the desired screens, the film has still managed to make its way into hearts of film lovers.
According to trade analysts, the film has collected nearly Rs one crore in the first week, which is a very good number for a film made by newcomers.
The film, which is an investigative thriller got good word of mouth from the audience, which resulted in an increase in collections over the weekends. The film is still running on some screens and is expected to collect more in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the film may enter the profit zone soon with digital rights and satellite rights price. The film has been directed by Ashwath Samuel and produced by Harish Bangera under Deyi Production. Nobin Paul has worked on music as well as background music for the film. The film stars Sampath Raj, Anu Prabhakar, Karthik Attavara, Sangeetha Bhat, K S Sridhar, Usha Bhandary and Lakshmi Siddaiah in pivotal roles.
