Agith Kalengada is one of latest talents making the right buzz in Sandalwood. The youngster made his debut with "Mantram" last year. He played a negative role in the film. Born in Kothur village in Virajpet taluk, he is currently working as Deputy Manager in a company in Bengaluru. Even though he has a stable career, his passion is acting in movies.
Agith made his debut with the critically acclaimed "Mantram" last year. He was praised by critics as well as the audience for his negative role. Speaking about his debut film, he said, "I was always interested in acting and have been part of short films as well. When director Sajjan approached me for the role, I agreed without thinking twice. I was very happy with my role, as I felt that it will get me the much-deserved attention. And I was right. The film gave me fame. I am thankful to my director Sajjan for believing in me. I learnt a lot from this film."
He is still working in the corporate field. He balances his acting commitment along with his corporate job. Though he finds the time management difficult sometimes, his passion keeps him going. He is very happy with his job and has no plans of quitting it.
He has also been part of short films like "Shoot" and "Second Lesson." He feels that his experience in short films has helped him a lot in performance. He also advises the youngsters to be part of short films, so that they learn more about filmmaking.
Agith considers his parents as his role models. He finds them inspirational and is grateful to them for guiding him in every step. "We normally see everyone aspiring to be heroes but that is not the case with Agith, who aspires to be a big villain in future.
"I find negative roles very interesting. I feel all humans have positive as well as negative side. I have always found negative side interesting. I want to do villain roles in films. Doing negative role is very challenging, which I feel I will enjoy. I would love to be part of serials as well as web series. However, my priority is films as of now. In future, I may take a step," he said.
Commenting on his future projects, he said, "I am being offered films since a year. However, due to my work commitments, I could not sign the films. Right now I have confirmed working in Sajjan's next, which will go on floors soon. I have also agreed to do another film verbally. I will make an announcement regarding that film soon."
