Shashikumar was one of the most sought after actors in Sandalwood in the 90’s. He was known for his dancing skills as well as comic timing. His good looks also earned him a large female fan following. Unfortunately, he met with an accident and had to take a break from films. He, however, has made a comeback and can be seen playing character roles these days. He did not get to see the same success again but, he may now get the chance to see his son attaining stardom.
Adityaa Shashikumar will soon debut in Sandalwood. The 23-year-old is taking his father’s legacy forward and will be joining hands with director Siddharth Maradeppaa, who is making his directorial debut with this film. In all likelihood, the film’s muhurath is planned around the second week of July, and pre-preparation is in full swing right now.
Adityaa has been training in stunts, dance and acting over the last three months. Apparently, the director was looking for a fresh face, and when he found out about Shashikumar’s son’s acting interests, he got in touch. Apoorva, introduced by actor-director-producer Ravichandran, has been roped in to star opposite the newcomer.
