Actress Navaneet Kaur, who made her acting debut in Kannada film ‘Darshan’ opposite Challenging star Darshan Thoogudeep is now a Member of Parliament.
The actress-turned-politician began her acting career in Sandalwood in the year 2004 and went on to act in many South Indian films, including Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
Navaneet married Ravi Rana, an independent MLA from Badnera constituency in Amravati city. She contested in the 2014 Lok Sabha election, but lost with 1.36 lakh vote difference.
However, in the 2019 Lok Sabha election she contested as Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) candidate from Amravati and defeated two time MP Anandrao Adsul of Shivsena with a difference of 36,000 votes.
