“Action King” Arjun Kapikad is known for his action stunts in Tulu films. Normally, Tulu films are known for their comedy. It is rare to see actors doing action stunts in Coastalwood but this trend has been changed by Arjun Kapikad.
Arjun’s stunts in films have also got him the tag “Action King” by his fans. In his upcoming film “Zabardasth Shankara”, he will be seen in a total of five action scenes. This has increased the buzz for the film and action lovers would surely love this piece of information.
Popular Sandalwood stunt master Mass Mada, who has worked with popular Sandalwood stars in the past, has also worked with Arjun in his earlier Tulu films, but with this film, he has composed five action scenes.
Out of five action sequences, four of them have been shot in Mangaluru and one in Bengaluru. Arjun shot these five action scenes for 15 days. In Bengaluru, a fight was shot in a setup bar which is said to be one of the biggest highlights of the film.
The climax action scene was shot for six days. Arjun is said to have hurt himself many times when shooting for these stunt scenes. He has toiled very hard for the film. But he is very happy as he has got the desired output.
A source close to the film crew said, “Action has been the main forte of Arjun and with this film, he has taken it to another level. In his earlier films, Chandi Kori, Are Marler and Barsa, we have seen him performing action scenes with elegance. But with this film, he has gone a level higher. This film will be a treat for action lovers and it will surely be a landmark film.”
The film has been produced by Anil Kumar and Lokesh Kottyan under the Jalanidhi Films banner. Devdas Kapikad has written the movie’s screenplay, dialogues, lyrics, and has directed the film as well. Rajesh Kudla is the executive producer of the film. Popular Sandalwood music composer Kadri Manikanth has composed the music for the film. The technical crew includes editing by Sujith Nayak, DOP by Siddu G.S, Uday Ballal and stunts by Mass Mada.
The film stars Arjun Kapikad, Neetha Ashok, Rashi Balakrishna, Devadas Kapikad, Saikrishna Kudla, Gopinath Bhat, Sathish Bandale, Prathik Shetty, Mimicri Sharan, Sunil Nelligudde, Laxman Mallur, and Girish Shetty Kateel in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, the buzz for the film is increasing daily as the movie will be reportedly hitting silver screens in the first week of November.
